Stay Thirsty is a series that was first started by Kristina Basgen in 2009 as the result of a digital printing class at Berkeley City College. Equipped with an undergraduate degree in Marketing with a Specialization in International Business, Kristina enjoys creating art that critiques consumerism and globalization. She has recently added to the series during 2014, returning to the digital printing format after intense focus on the design, operations, and marketing of her screen-printing business, Tina Produce.
Photos shot using a Canon Rebel XT dSLR. Studio light photography shot at Santa Fe Workshops in 2008.
The first video is an animation created using Flash back when Flash was a coveted web skill. Final Cut Pro was later used to add the soundtrack. Although the conversion/export is not my best here, these 450 frames exhibit my ability to learn new applications and follow through with tedious projects.
The following quick animations were all put together using the app PicFlow and posted on Instagram. Assets created in Illustrator or Photoshop or even apps such as Over. Best viewed on smaller devices.
